Souls for Sale

I guess if you have been living a rather dubious life having a spare soul would be a good thing. If that isn't the case then I guess you could start a minion army. But at the price this schmuck is asking I hope he has been living true life.

    Norad Tracks Santa

Watch Sergent: General!! We have a boggie moving in fast from the north over Canada! What shall we do?
General: Wish him a Merry Christmas and offer a fighter escort.

    Why we track Santa

SantaFor more than 50 years, NORAD and its predecessor, the Continental Air Defense Command (CONAD) have tracked Santa’s flight.
The tradition began in 1955 after a Colorado Springs-based Sears Roebuck & Co. advertisement for children to call Santa misprinted the telephone number. Instead of reaching Santa, the phone number put kids through to the CONAD Commander-in-Chief’s operations "hotline." The Director of Operations at the time, Colonel Harry Shoup, had his staff check the radar for indications of Santa making his way south from the North Pole. Children who called were given updates on his location, and a tradition was born.
In 1958, the governments of Canada and the United States created a bi-national air defense command for North America called the North American Aerospace Defense Command, also known as NORAD, which then took on the tradition of tracking Santa.
Since that time, NORAD men, women, family and friends have selflessly volunteered their time to personally respond to phone calls and emails from children all around the world. In addition, we now track Santa using the internet. Millions of people who want to know Santa’s whereabouts now visit the NORAD Tracks Santa website.
Finally, media from all over the world rely on NORAD as a trusted source to provide updates on Santa’s journey.

Welcome to NORAD Tracks Santa. All the preparations for this year are in place!
This Christmas eve, join NORAD to track Santa's flight from your phone. On December 24th, open Google Maps for mobile and do a search for "Santa" to see his latest location.

    Only 3 Shopping Days Left

Actually it's more like 2 shopping days left, but it's three if you plan on doing some shopping at 7-11, but then again I bet Walmart(It's about the $, fuck our employees) is open. Either way just remember that because you are rushing around and running out time does not give you the right to be a jerk to people and drive like an Asshole. Santa is watching and he will shit in your stocking. (its more environmentally friendly than coal). But to calm you down here are two of the said mentioned carols. Enjoy :-)

This should be cool if you can stay up that late

I read somewhere that the last time these two event co-inside was back in 1554. I don't think any of us remember that.

Your Guide to the Darkest Day in 372 Years

Your Guide to the Darkest Day in 372 YearsLate Monday night—well, actually, early Tuesday morning—the moon will move into the earth's shadow, causing a lunar eclipse visible to anyone in North America. Even better, it's happening on the Winter Solstice, for the first time since 1638.
Now, obviously, you already have your Winter Solstice party/pansexual orgy/potluck planned out to perfection. (Right?) But can you properly include a showing of the first full lunar eclipse in three years? Here's what you need to know.
    • Locate the moon. (Hint: It's in the sky.) The earth's shadow should start showing on the moon's lower left around 1:33 a.m. Eastern time, which is when Fallon ends, if you're on the east coast, or halfway through Hawaii Five-0, if you're on the west coast.
    • The shadow moves slowly, but by 2:41 a.m., the entire moon will be covered, and will stay that way for an hour. The is the optimal time for consuming your peyote, playing your war drums, murdering people, etc.
    • The shadow will start moving again at 3:53 a.m., and the moon will be back to normal by 5:00 a.m. At this point it's appropriate to do your winter solstice folk dances and poetry recitals.
So, you see: It's pretty simple. But you might be wondering: What, exactly, is the point of watching a lunar eclipse? Why can't I just close my eyes? Bad Astronomy's Phil Plait explains what's so cool:
Sometimes, atmospheric conditions on Earth will cast an eerie, blood-red shadow on the Moon... it's really quite stunning, and worth staying up (or getting up early) to see. Also, the Moon does not pass directly through the center of the Earth's umbral shadow, so the top and bottom halves of the Moon may be dramatically different in appearance and color. There's no way to predict this, so you'll just have to go out and see for yourself.
    So, something like this:
Your Guide to the Darkest Day in 372 Years
See! Science can be cool, even on the winter solstice.

DADT Is History ( It's About Damn Time!!! )

There really is a Santa Claus!!! I really had lost hope that DADT policy would be repealed during the lame-duck session. I had figured by now that most of the Senate would be waiting in TSA Security lines for their flights back home. It's nice to know that they were able to finally rid the military of this bad policy. However it is a bit to late for all of the Airman, Sailors and Soldiers that had already been discharged. I hope that some where in the repeal there is a disputation that all of those Dishonorable and "Other Than Honorable" Discharges be changed to honorable. If they are not changed then there should be a prevision for those people to be able to appeal to have it changed to an Honorable Discharge.
Senate votes to repeal 'Don't Ask, Don't Tell'

    By Mark Arsenault

WASHINGTON — Gays and lesbians will soon be able to serve openly in the United States military, after a US Senate vote today to end the “don’t ask, don’t tell” law that has led to the discharge of some 14,000 gay service members since its establishment during the Clinton administration.

US Senator Scott Brown of Massachusetts was among six Republicans who broke ranks to help Democrats overcome a procedural hurdle put up by the GOP. The vote this morning against the Republican filibuster was 63-33; at least 60 votes were needed to move the measure ahead. Final passage came in a second vote this afternoon, which passed 65-31, with eight Republicans in favor.

“It is time to close this chapter in our history,” President Obama said in a statement. “It is time to recognize that sacrifice, valor and integrity are no more defined by sexual orientation than they are by race or gender, religion or creed.”

But the vote also outraged some Christian conservatives. "Today is a tragic day for our armed forces,” said Tony Perkins, president of the Family Research Council, a conservative Christian lobbying group, in a statement. “The American military exists for only one purpose—to fight and win wars. Yet it has now been hijacked and turned into a tool for imposing on the country a radical social agenda.”

And to all of the those fore-mentioned Hatefilled Prejudice Homophobic & Bigoted Religous FUCKS, take this and run it up your Christmas Tree. Damn SOB's! Merry Christmas!

    Crappy Carols

I think we all have a few Christmas carols that we can stand. I mean they are just annoying and most of these are really depressing. It's bad enough the holidays bring people to a low spot in life but do we really to be reminded by these songs?  Here are my top detested ones...

    1. Any thing with animals that include dogs barking, crazy frogs and chipmunks
    2. "Blue Christmas"--Elvis Presley
    3."Last Christmas"--Wham
    4. "Do They Know it’s Christmas?--BandAid
    5. "Grandma Got Run Over By a Reindeer" -- Elmo & Patsy
    6. "Mary Did You Know?"-- Clay Aiken
    7. "All I Want for Christmas Is My Two Front Teeth" -- Spike Jones
    8. "Santa Baby" -- Madonna
    9. "My Only Wish This Year (Is You)" -- Britney Spears
    10. "Baby It's Cold Outside"-- Dean Martin

Tomorrow I'll give you a list of my favorites.

    Santa Please Take Note

Hey Santa... Just in case there were any doubts here is some proof. This data was created using a scientific piece of equipment that was calibrated at Precision Measurement Equipment Laboratory (PMEL).

I hope this is what Santa looks likes, I heard he has been hitting the Gym. ;-)

    Benyj Davis Project

I was searching through Amazon looking for some new music and along with doing some Christmas shopping, when I came across this album  Paper Trails by The Benjy Davis Project . I like giving a new artist a listen and couldn't really beat the price it's "Free".

The music is pretty good with some nice riffs and catchy lyrics that challenge societal norms and reveal the dark side. I think it's some between Jason Mraz or John Mayer either way the duo does a pretty good job. Its nice to find something that is not heard on the radio every other hour. So why not take chance with this album you have nothing to lose but maybe a few bytes of disc space. I think you will be pleasantly surprised. Here is the link to the album...

    One Step Closer

Yesterday the US Military cleared the way for the repeal of Don't Ask Don't Tell. The Department of Defense's report on impact of repealing US military's the failed policy was released. As many had already expected a majority of the troops are fine with it, by 70 percent . The only major opposition has come from the USMC (the USN's legions of bottoms) and John McCain.
Sec. Gates Stated Gates recommended the Senate support legislation to end the existing policy. "It can be done and should be done,"
and then goes on to say that...
"Now that we have completed this review, I strongly urge the Senate to pass this legislation and send it to the president for signature before the end of this year. I believe this is a matter of some urgency because, as we have seen this past year, the federal courts are increasingly becoming involved in this issue."
Now Sec. Gates does have a point there, if the administration's appeals fail then the military will be left to the who the  US Courts issue a ruling if they strike it down for being unconstitutional. Where if the policy was repealed in legislation the Military and the DoD would have more control over the situation. They would not have to answer to the courts. This would set a bad precedence if  US Courts are able to manage military policy. This should be left to the President, DoD and rest of the Military chain of command.

Presidents Stated As Commander in Chief,

I have pledged to repeal the "don't ask, don't tell" law because it weakens our national security, diminishes our military readiness, and violates fundamental American principles of fairness and equality by preventing patriotic Americans who are gay from serving openly in our armed forces. At the same time, as Commander in Chief, I am committed to ensuring that we understand the implications of this transition, and maintain good order and discipline within our military ranks. That is why I directed the Department of Defense earlier this year to begin preparing for a transition to a new policy.
It took him long enough to say this, he should have said it back in January. Personally I don't think President Obama gives a shit about our community. One reason he had seen support fading at least mine. I don't care who he has appointed and I know he did an anti-bullying message, but only after Hillary had hers out on the airwaves. Then we have John McCain....

    Who said in the past...
"That passing repeal now would undermine the Defense Department's review of the policy, which won't be completed until December"
"that he would be open to repeal if it was OK'd by the military's top brass"

but now that it's been OK'd he has stated

“I’m doing everything I can to defeat it.”
I guess John is having a case of hypocrite syndrom. But, Damn! His family has even been on the record supporting the repeal.
Cindy McCain "Our political and religious leaders tell LGBT youth that they have no future,"  "They can’t serve our country openly."
I just don't understand how she can do anti-bully video message for NOH8, but she is married to one of the big bully. He's such a big bully that sh is now reversing what she had originally said on tape.
Meghan McCain "I am a supporter of LGBT rights and am against DADT"

Let's face it John McCain's world view is different from mine. Homosexuality was not as accept and he had less exposure when he was in the military. Or It's my guess that  John is just trying to rattle some saber and score some points with the Religious and the rest of prejudice Right. Maybe it was a promise he made to the devil when he begged for their support in 2008.

Yes, there are better ways that the policy's repeal could have been presented to congress other than on a defense spending bill. And yes at the moment there are more pressing matters before congress like North and South Korea, Extension of Unemployment benefits and The START Treaty. But I feel that some of the blame is on the Obama's Administration, they should have been pushing for this back in the spring of 2009 not at the tail end or 2010.
