Lady Gaga on DADT

I'm not a huge Lady Gaga fan, but her music is cool, its just some of the stunts that she has pulled are kind of annoying and somewhat disrespectful of others. I think with this she has regained some of my respect. She really lays out the truth about this policy and how it harms individuals and the military readiness. It's nice to see celebrities take an open stance on such a controversial subject.
The US Military's policy of  "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" is a policy that does more harm than good. I like many of fellow sailor, soldiers and airmen have served this country with honor. I don't know why many people think that if the military allows gay and lesbians to serve openly the barracks will become some mad gay orgy. We only want to serve and be ourselves and not have to hide who we really are. Living in or out of the closet in many cases is a personal choice, but we should be the ones that are able to make that choice. Mentally it is healthier to those sailors, soldiers and airmen, not to have to look over their shoulders and worry if they will be outed.
