Piggy Little

I'm enjoying my morning coffee watching a bit of CNN and there's a story on "Swine Flu Twitter Controversy" where people are worried about misinformation about swine flu. Some authorities fear that jokes, sarcasm, and the rantings of conspiracy nuts may be taken as truths. Then these tweets could fuel panic.
Damn people get a FUCKing grip. If you are looking for information on a subject start with a trusted source, in this case the CDC website. This means don't go to Joe the plumber's blog or this blog for medical information about swine flu. Damn, let's use a little bit of common sense here if you read my tweet last night where I said "Stop Swine Flu, Eat more chicken, but would that increase the odds of bird flu?" I was being sarcastic. If you took this to be a warning that,
1. swine flu comes from pork. you are Stupid, and
2. Eating more chicken would increase bird flu. You are a fucking Moron.

I really wish theses waste of flesh would stop polluting the DNA pool, enough said.

Eject Eject Eject!!!

 Senator Arlen Specter is to switch sides and become a Democrat. My only guess is that he sees the GOP as a plane spinning out of control. It's pilot chairman Steele is powerless, Rush Limbaugh is grabbing at the controls and everyone in the party is strapped in for the ride. Rush's reaction to Specters defection was that he should take Sen. McCain  and Sen. Sam Brownback with him. I guess we could make it a 3-1 trade and finally give them  Sen. Joe Lieberman, not that I want any of them in my party. If the GOP doesn't get their act together could find themselves in a bind losing members to the rising stock of the Libertarian party.

Rest in Peace Bea

I just want to send out my best wishes and thoughts to the family and friends of Bea Arthur. I really never got into Golden Girls and I was to young for Maude. But, I had admired her because she had great timing and wit.



Beatrice Arthur who died peacefully at her Los Angeles home with her family at her side Saturday at 86 (she was born Bernice Frankel on May 13, 1923), was an actress and comedienne with a distinctive deep voice and acid wit. She was the winner of two Emmy Awards for her starring roles on classic sitcoms "Maude" and "The Golden Girls".

Bea was born in New York City, but she grew up in Maryland. She became a medical technologist before World War II, when she volunteered for the U.S. Marine Corps, becoming one of its first female recruits.

Happy Earth Day

I just wanted to wish Mother Earth a Happy Birthday. I think I did my small part by planting a garden yesterday. I'm planning on keeping it as organic as possible, only having added composting material when I prepped the area last week. The plantings consist of; Tomatoes, Green Pepper, Red Pepper, jalapeno, Carrots, zucchini, Yellow Squash, and Cucumbers. I tried to keep it small and contain only the veggies we eat the most.

It All Adds Up

Now I know why I can never get ahead. But sure have known quite a few people over the years that use this formula all to often.

This comes from 2 math teachers with a combined total of 70 yrs. experience. Here is a little something someone sent me that is indisputable mathematical logic. It also made me laugh out loud.

This is a strictly mathematical viewpoint…it goes like this:

What makes 100%?

What does it mean to give MORE than 100%?

Ever wonder about those people who say they are giving more than 100%?

We have all been to those meetings where someone wants you to give over 100%.

How about achieving 103%?

What makes up 100% in life?

Here is a mathematical formula that might help you answer these questions:

IF:

The Infamous Space Robin

This has to be my favorite episode of by the British car nuts of Top Gear ever. I really think they could use a bit of assistance from NASA or even Mythbusters for that matter. If you have never seen this show then you don't know what you are missing it's a must for anyone that enjoys Cars, Comedy and British satire. They do some really crazy shit on this show and drive some really awesome cars. You really should check it out sometime on BBC America.

I want to thank Kyle for posting this on facebook, it was so damn funny I think everyone need see. I guess this is a movement started by the Log Cabin Republican, at least that is my guess. Maybe the repugnats should have Googled Tea-Bagging before they started offering this new tag line of a protest. This is the definition I found for tea-bagging

MARTA - An Endangered Species



The dimwits under the gold dome continue to fail to support MARTA the public transportation system here in Atlanta. They do not care that people it will hurt most by cutting public transit are city's; elderly, low income and the overall growth of the community at large. Since so many of the dimwitted gold dome dwellers are Republican and from the rural sticks of Georgia they do not understand the sensibility of a mass transit. They only think that it will spread crime and undesirables to their outlying communities. They are perfectly happy with driving around Atlanta in their H3 gas hogs and could careless about the air quality of the city. So their plan is not to support MARTA and let the city suffer.

PLAY BALL!!!

Today marks the opening of the 2009 Baseball season so I figured I'd give you my predictions for this year. Yeah, go figure a gay man's opinion on a sports league, I guess you will have to get over it.

Lets start with the American League East, damn tough division to find yourself in unless you are the Red Sox, Yankees or Rays, lower rungs of the ladder will be Orioles and Blue Jays. They really need to pay attention to that old adage "the early bird gets the worm" these two must have over slept. Corny I know but it is so true.

In the East I look too see the Yankees on top. Damn, did I just say that? I guess I did, but they did some serious upgrading to their pitching staff and Mark Teixeria should make up for the loss of A-roid early on. Second place and the AL Wild card will be the Red Sox. But if either of these two stumble or are plagued by injuries Tampa will quickly fill their shoes. It will probably be a nail biter this season if any of these three teams are yours.

The AL Central will have the Twins and a close second will be the Indians. I think the twins will be an interesting team to watch they are a young team with a lot of talent. Sorry President Obama but the White Sox don't have a chance in hell, maybe next year.

Now for the AL West which is the weakest division in the league once you get past the Angels there isn't much left. So yeah the Angels will lead the division once again. I don't see them getting any past whom ever they have to face in the AL Playoffs.

Next, looking to the National League, The East in the NL mirrors the AL they are stacked at the top and who ever trips or missed picking up that piece in the off season is the division's whipping boy. Yeah National fans I'm looking your way, damn it must suck being a baseball fan in the Mid-Atlantic all you have to root for are the Nats and Orioles. Anyway I see the Phillies repeating their place at the show again this year. Mets will once again start their implosion in August, though Wright and Santana are players to watch. The Braves will finish third, they really need Hudson back, next year will be a good year for the Braves.

Moving on to the NL Central the Cubs all the way. Second will be round out by The Cardinals and they should fill the NL wild card, sorry but remember the Mets imploded.

Last and final division is the NL West all you have to do is look at LA, they should dominate the top. But I would watch the Rockies and Diamond Backs to battle it out all season for second. Both teams have some great examples of youth and talent. Diamond back have a great pitching staff and could give LA a run for there money especially is Manny is up to his old antics.

In closing let me round up my predictions; AL East Yankees, AL Central Twins, AL West Angels, and the AL Wild card Red Sox. The team to watch is Tampa they will be fun this season and really have something to prove.

In the NL East Phillies, NL Central Cubs, NL West Dodgers look for the Cardinals to be the Wild card but they better watch out for the Diamond Backs.

I guess will have to check back in September to see how I did.
