From: The Office of Homeland Security and SPAM.....LOL

I'm so glad that the FBI is looking out for my well being. I have to admit this is a new one. I really hope that nobody is stupid enough to respond or even contact these people. If you ever receive an email like this DELETE IT. The want to take your money.

If the FBI wanted to give you money they would show up with the IRS to make sure all of the paperwork was filled out properly. Though if they did show up it could be part of some undercover sting. In that case you would be arrested once you took custody of it and then charged with some crime.

Another thing look at the email ....
1. FBI's website is ... (NOT)
2. FBI has official email ..... (NOT) (Why would the FBI use Microsoft's
3. There is no "FEDERAL MINISTER OF FINANCE" in the United States Government, I don't think that there are any MINISTER Of Anything.

Just use your head nothing is free. If you are ever taken in by these people don't be embarrassed, contact you local, federal or state law enforcement agency. This will help protect your neighbors and friends.

WARNING!!! The below quoted message is SPAM and They want your money. Do Not Contact these people. It is being used as an example to educate the stupid and gullible.

Surging shoppers kill New York Wal-Mart worker

Merry F_cking Christmas!!! I really hope that these people are truly happy with themselves. It must give these greedy bastards a warm fuzzy feeling knowing that the gift their child is about to receive cost a man his life. Now that is the true spirit of Christmas and Peace on earth. They all must be f_cking happy knowing that there is a family out there mourning the death of their son or father. Greed is root of all evil and they just proved that theory once again. I'm glad that I don't have their karma haunting me this holiday season.

A man working for discount retailer Wal-Mart was killed on Friday in a stampede by frenzied shoppers who broke down doors and surged into a Long Island, New York store, a police spokesman said.

The Santaland Diaries

This is an Atlanta tradition that you can't miss. Ryan and I have been going every year since started dating 5 years ago. It's a hilarious play and I can recommend this to everyone. Tickets are reasonably priced and fun for all. It does tend to be a bit risque so I would not bring the little ones I guess if it was a film it would be PG-13. If you are in the Atlanta area over the holidays and you are looking for something to do with friends you should really take a trip to little 5 points and see this play, you'll be laughing your ass off.

Horizon Theatre Company returns with a 10th anniversary production of the outrageous holiday comedy The Santaland Diaries written by NPR comic genius David Sedaris. With more holiday sneer than cheer, this rebel without a Claus recounts the true-life tale of an out of work writer who must take a job as a Macy's Department Store elf.

McCain Gets Hammered At Local VFW

PHOENIX—After conceding defeat in the 2008 presidential election, former Republican candidate John McCain reportedly got completely hammered Tuesday night at the Veterans of Foreign Wars bar in Phoenix. "I saw this old guy just kind of slumped over his drink for a couple hours before I realized who it was," bartender Rob Dubbin said of the former Navy officer, who sources confirmed arrived at the VFW community tavern around 9 p.m. wearing his lieutenant commander's jacket and cap. "He must have had about eight or nine boilermakers in all. I heard him muttering something about 'Pennsylvania,' I think, but other than that he was pretty quiet." Sources said McCain continued to drink alone until well after 3 a.m., at which point fellow patrons had to carry the sleeping senator to a couch in the back office.

Dave Matthews and Tim Reynolds roll out support for Change

Damn I wish I in a swing state. I had the opportunity to see Dave and Tim in 2003 at the University of Massachusetts in Amherst and it was an amazing show. Dave and tim do a great job together and I highly recommend that anyone in Virginia to try and make the trek to see the show. If you are one of the lucky ones you will not be disappointed, trust me. Now I just hope that they do an extended tour together again so more people can have a chance to see him. All politics aside that show I'm sure will be worthwhile.

We are pleased to announce that Dave Matthews and Tim Reynolds will be performing in Richmond, VA on Sunday, October 26, 2008 at the ALLTEL Pavilion at the VCU Stuart C. Siegel Center to urge Virginians to vote for the change our country needs - affordable, accessible health care for every American, tax relief for middle class families struggling in this economy and a responsible end to the Iraq war..

The "Last Chance for Change" performance will be free and open to all Virginia residents and students, however tickets ARE required. Two (2) free tickets are available per person on a first-come, first served basis.

For ticket locations and additional information, please visit

***Tickets are available starting at 10:00am ET on Saturday, October 18. Campaign for Change offices are open from 9:00am ET to 9:00pm ET daily.

VP Debate

I watched the debate last night over my better judgment. I say that because I'm voting for the President, not the Vice President, so they have little to do with my decision.
Now, I have to admit I was curious about Gov. Sarah Palin and I had little to go beside what I read on her Wikipedia page. I really have to say she is an ignoramus; she spoke to us like we are all a bunch of hicks. I was offended by being called "Joe six-pack" over and over again, does she really think that we are all that simple. I'm not one of her white trash hunting buddies from Alaska. It was like listening to Bush, did he coach her?
Next, I didn't like that many time last night she did not give a straight answer to some questions, only to give us talking points. The next issue I have I don't care how many times she and John McCain say it he nor she are "MAVERICKs", John McCain has not been a maverick in 10 years. When John McCain sold himself to the devil which is the Republican Party especially the religious segment of the right, he lost his Maverick status.
Overall she did better than I expected, but when you expectations were low to begin with it's easy to get a better grade.

Forever Cool...Rest in Peace Paul

Paul you were a great actor, activist and man. My heart goes out your family and friends. I loved your movies and your salad dressings. You lived your life to the fullest and gave everything you had to the world an people you encountered. Rest Peace man.

WESTPORT, Conn.—Paul Newman, the Academy-Award winning superstar who personified cool as an activist, race car driver, popcorn impresario and the anti-hero of such films as "Hud," "Cool Hand Luke" and "The Color of Money," has died, a spokeswoman said Saturday. He was 83.

Newman died Friday of cancer, spokeswoman Marni Tomljanovic said. No other details were immediately available.

In May, Newman he had dropped plans to direct a fall production of "Of Mice and Men," citing unspecified health issues.

He got his start in theater and on television during the 1950s, and went on to become one of the world's most enduring and popular film stars, a legend held in awe by his peers. He was nominated for Oscars 10 times, winning one regular award and two honorary ones, and had major roles in more than 50 motion pictures, including "Exodus," "Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid," "The Verdict," "The Sting" and "Absence of Malice."

Newman worked with some of the greatest directors of the past half century, from Alfred Hitchcock and John Huston to Robert Altman, Martin Scorsese and the Coen brothers. His co-stars included Elizabeth Taylor, Lauren Bacall, Tom Cruise, Tom Hanks and, most famously, Robert Redford, his sidekick in "Butch Cassidy" and "The Sting."

He sometimes teamed with his wife and fellow Oscar winner, Joanne Woodward, with whom he had one of Hollywood's rare long-term marriages. "I have steak at home, why go out for hamburger?" Newman told Playboy magazine when asked if he was tempted to stray. They wed in 1958, around the same time they both appeared in "The Long Hot Summer," and Newman directed her in several films, including "Rachel, Rachel" and "The Glass Menagerie."

Damon Condemns Palin

In Mcain's mind...

I'm a little confused. Let me see if I have this straight.....

* If you grow up in Hawaii, raised by your grandparents, you're "exotic, different."

* Grow up in Alaska eating moose burgers, a quintessential American story.

* If your name is Barack you're a radical, unpatriotic Muslim.

* Name your kids Willow, Trig and Track, and you're a maverick.

* Graduate from Harvard law School and be President of the Law Review, and you are unstable.

* Attend 5 different small colleges before graduating, you're well grounded.

* If you spend 3 years as a community organizer, create a voter registration drive that registers 150,000 new voters,
spend 12 years as a Constitutional Law professor, spend 8 years as a State
Senator representing a district with over 750,000 people, become chairman of the
state Senate's Health and Human Services committee, spend 4 years in the United
States Senate representing a state of 13 million people while sponsoring
131 bills and serving on the Foreign Affairs, Environment and Public Works and
Veteran's Affairs committees, you don't have any real leadership experience.

* If your total resume is: local weather girl, 4 years
on the city council and 6 years as the mayor of a town with less than 7,000
people, 20 months as the governor of a state with only 650,000 people, then
you're qualified to become the country's second highest ranking executive.

* If you have been married to the same woman for 19 years
while raising 2 beautiful daughters, all within Protestant churches, you're not a real Christian.

If you cheated on your first wife with a rich heiress, and left your disfigured wife and married the heiress the next month,
you're a Christian.

* If you teach responsible, age appropriate sex education, including the proper use of birth control, you are eroding the fiber
of society.

* If , while governor, you staunchly advocate abstinence
only, with no other option in sex education in your state's school system while
your unwed teen daughter ends up pregnant , you're very responsible.

* If your wife is a Harvard graduate lawyer who gave up a position in a prestigious
law firm to work for the betterment of her inner city community, then gave that
up to raise a family, your family's values don't represent America's.

* If your husband is nicknamed "First Dude", with at least one DUI
conviction and no college education, who didn't register to vote until age 25
and once was a member of a group that advocated the secession of Alaska from the
USA, your family is extremely admirable.

OK, much clearer now.

Just more of the same...

Devil went down to Florida

A Minneapolis couple decided to go to Florida to thaw out during a particularly icy winter. They planned to stay at the same hotel where they spent their honeymoon 20 years earlier.
Because of hectic schedules, it was difficult to coordinate their travel schedules. So, the husband left Minnesota and flew to Florida on Thursday, with his wife flying down the following day.
The husband checked into the hotel. There was a computer in his room, so he decided to send an email to his wife. However, he accidentally left out one letter in her email address, and without realizing his error, sent the email.

Meanwhile, somewhere in Houston, a widow had just returned home from her husband's funeral He was a minister who was called home to glory following a heart attack…
The widow decided to check her email expecting messages from relatives and friends. After reading the first message, she screamed and fainted. The widow's son rushed into the room, found his mother on the floor, and saw the computer screen which read:

To: My Loving Wife
Subject: I've Arrived
Date: October 16, 2005
I know you're surprised to hear from me. They have computers here now and you are allowed to send emails to your loved ones. I've just arrived and have been checked in. I've seen that everything has been prepared for your arrival tomorrow.
Looking forward to seeing you then!!!!
Hope your journey is as uneventful as mine was.

P. S. Sure is freaking hot down here!!!!

The son worked several hours trying to revive her; it's unlikely she'll ever fully recover...

Manny Is Gone!?

0405228-R4-045-21, originally uploaded by rob02190.

Yesterday the Boston Red Sox trade outfielder Manny Ramirez in a three team deal involved with sending Craig Hansen (P) and Brandon Moss (OF) to the Pittsburgh. In addition they receive Andy La Roche (3B) and Bryan Morris (P) from LA. Overall I'd have to say the Red Sox's not gaining anything with this trade besides a little mental peace of their own. As a Red Sox's fan I hate to see Manny go, however his childish "Manny being Manny" antics were getting a bit old. Yes, they gained a better fielder and very good hitter, but not as good as Manny. Now that Jason is in a better line up maybe he'll receive some better quality pitches. I don't think this will make the Red Sox a better team and I don't think their chances for a repeat improved any, this year. On the West coast maybe Manny will be more at home, and I hope that he signs with LA in the off season. Manny will now be a free agent in the fall, I just don't want to see him in NY Pinstripes.

Looking at this trade, LA improved their line up and will probably see the impact going into the post-season. The overall winner looks to be Pittsburgh, they free up $12M in payroll and gain 4 young players. In baseball that is never a bad thing when you can add talent options. Only thing I can say is that I'm glad the Red Sox got player in exchange Manny, I would have hated to see the Red Sox not pick up his option and just let him walk. There is nothing worse than seeing a player leave in free agency and not getting any thing for them.

Al Gore's ambitious challenge

AL GORE: DC Environment Speech 7.17.08 "America must commit to producing 100% of our electricity from cheap, clean renewable energy sources like solar and wind within 10 years." It's to bad that he has to give this speech from the side lines when in all reality it should have been done on the steps of the White House. Now if only the "acting president" King George, would stand behind his 2006 "Americas is Addicted to Oil" speech. When in all reality he and his pose are "Addicted to Oil Profits"

King George may give a Shit

Okay this sounds like an appropriate and patriotic gesture to me, anything more would just be flashy. I can hear the references now "if you see the GWB shit plant then you have gone to far." I guess the voters of San Fransisco will decide how there shit will be treated, though it could end up being a jinx and it would just be a big clog.

George W. Bush Sewage Plant plan is on ballot

Marisa Lagos, Chronicle Staff Writer

Friday, July 18, 2008
Brian McConnell (left) came up with the Bush Sewage Plant...

(07-17) 14:57 PDT SAN FRANCISCO -- San Francisco voters will be asked to decide whether to name a city sewage plant in honor of President Bush, after a satiric measure qualified for the November ballot Thursday.

Backers of the measure, who for several months circulated a petition to place the measure on the ballot, turned in more than 12,000 signatures on July 7, said organizer Brian McConnell. The Department of Elections on Thursday informed those supporters, the self-proclaimed Presidential Memorial Commission, that they had enough valid signatures - a minimum of 7,168 registered San Francisco voters - to qualify for the November ballot.

McConnell, who came up with the idea over beers with friends, often donned an Uncle Sam outfit to drum up support for the petition. The all-volunteer group of signature gatherers often carried around an American flag and blasted patriotic music from a boom box to attract attention. He said the campaign to pass the measure will be an equally grassroots effort.

The measure, if passed, would rename the Oceanside Water Pollution Control Plant the George W. Bush Sewage Plant. McConnell said the intent is to remember the Bush administration and what the group sees as the president's mistakes, including the war in Iraq.

Some people aren't laughing, including the San Francisco Republican Party, which sees the measure as an embarrassment, even to this famously liberal city. Chairman Howard Epstein has vowed to fight the measure with all means available to him.

A White House spokeswoman, when asked about the measure several weeks ago, refused to comment.

Gays in military don't hurt

This is something new? Not hardly, but it's nice to hear that someone is starting to wake up. I know Barack Obama has stated that he "opposes the current “Don’t ask, don’t tell” policy on gays in the military, which weakens us in a time of global challenges." I'd like to see what McCain's reaction is since in the past he has been against it. I’m sure that he can use this; by speaking out he can kiss up to far right.
As a veteran I can tell first hand that this policy does not work. It has destroyed the careers of many of my friends and influenced my decision to stay in the Navy. It cause anxiety among the ranks and if anything the witch hunts are detrimental to a unit morale. If you really want to know more about the policy I suggest that you check out Servicemembers Legal Defense Network better known as SLDN.

Study: Gays in military don't hurt ability to fight WASHINGTON (AP) -- Congress should repeal the "don't ask, don't tell" law because the presence of gays in the military is unlikely to undermine the ability to fight and win, according to a new study released by a California-based research center.
Protests in 2007 against a high ranking military official's comments that being gay is "immoral."

Protests in 2007 against a high ranking military official's comments that being gay is "immoral."

The study was conducted by four retired military officers, including the three-star Air Force lieutenant general who in early 1993 was tasked with implementing President Clinton's policy that the military stop questioning recruits on their sexual orientation.

"Evidence shows that allowing gays and lesbians to serve openly is unlikely to pose any significant risk to morale, good order, discipline or cohesion," the officers states.

To support its contention, the panel points to the British and Israeli militaries, where it says gay people serve openly without hurting the effectiveness of combat operations.

Undermining unit cohesion was a determining factor when Congress passed the 1993 law, intended to keep the military from asking recruits their sexual orientation. In turn, service members can't say they are gay or bisexual, engage in homosexual activity or marry a member of the same sex.

Supporters of the ban contend there is still no empirical evidence that allowing gays to serve openly won't hurt combat effectiveness.

"The issue is trust and confidence" among members of a unit, said Lt. Col. Robert Maginnis, who retired in 1993 after working on the issue for the Army. When some people with a different sexual orientation are "in a close combat environment, it results in a lack of trust," he said.

The study was sponsored by the Michael D. Palm Center at the University of California at Santa Barbara, which said it picked the panel members to portray a bipartisan representation of the different service branches.

According to its Web site, the Palm Center "is committed to keeping researchers, journalists and the general public informed of the latest developments in the 'don't ask, don't tell' policy debate."

Two of the officers on the panel have endorsed Democratic candidates since leaving the military -- Army Lt. Gen. Robert Gard, who supports Barack Obama, and Marine Corps Gen. Hugh Aitken, who backed Clinton in 1996.

Air Force Lt. Gen. Robert Minter Alexander, a Republican, was assigned in 1993 to a high-level panel established by the Defense Department to examine the issue of gays in the military. At one point, he signed an order that prohibited the military from asking a recruit's sexual orientation.

Alexander said at the time he was simply trying to carry out the president's orders and not take a position. But he now believes the law should be repealed because it assumes the existence of gays in the military is disruptive to units even though cultural attitudes are changing.

Further, the Defense Department and not Congress should be in charge of regulating sexual misconduct within the military, he said.

"Who else can better judge whether it's a threat to good order and discipline?" Alexander asked.

Navy Vice Adm. Jack Shanahan said he had no opinion on the issue when he joined the panel, having never confronted it in his 35-year military career. A self-described Republican who opposes the Bush administration's handling of the Iraq war, Shanahan said he was struck by the loss of personal integrity required by individuals to carry out "don't ask, don't tell."

"Everyone was living a big lie -- the homosexuals were trying to hide their sexual orientation and the commanders were looking the other way because they didn't want to disrupt operations by trying to enforce the law," he said.

An Open Letter To Senator Obama: Vote NO On Telecom Immunity

The people who support you are speaking loudly and clearly. I believe you will hear them and will uphold your promise to oppose any FISA bill which includes immunity for for the telecommunications companies which unlawfully went along with President George W. Bush's program of warrantless wiretapping of ordinary American citizens.

Here is the copy of the letter that I sent to Senator Obama (D, IL), Senator Chambliss (R, GA) and Senator Isakson (R, GA), however I know the response from the later will just be something like "Thank you for contacting us with your concerns but frankly we don't give a shit. We follow the King (err, President) blindly like little lapdogs." Plus seeing how they are both Republicans I'm sure AT&T/ Cingular have lined their campaign coffers( this comment has no real backing, I'm just throwing the two of them with the rest of their buddies, like Randy "Duke" Cunningham.) Luckily Saxby (shameless) Chambliss is up for re-election this year, so hopefully he won't be around much longer. Here is the link if you want to sign the DFA's Senate petition

Dear Senator,
As a resident of the state of Georgia I want to thank you for your dedication and commitment to preserving our rights and freedoms. Your important work on these issues is a bold reminder that our civil liberties are always worth fighting for. Senator Feingold needs your help to stop the FISA "compromise" bill, please Stop Telecom Immunity.
I see a problem with legislation which allows the government to wiretap the communications of its citizenry without a warrant.
I want you to work on changing the minds of senators who would vote against stripping telecom immunity. Please join the call of fellow citizens and other states Senators committed to voting against this amendment. You have the tools, power and the confidence; we can bring Change; we can make the government listen to the people instead of the telecom lobbyists.
Second, Senator, I ask that you please attend the Senate debate and schedule floor time to speak about the violence done to the rule of law when Congress retroactively immunizes the illegal conduct of a special interest.
I know you understand that justice should not be sold to the highest special interest bidder; we also know that you can persuade other Senators that are not so clear on the issue. We trust in your ability to bring a new way of doing business to Washington and look forward to helping you make that Change a reality.

Thank you.

Obama drifts back to the middle instead of yielding to the left

Obama drifts back to the middle instead of yielding to the left.

read more | digg story
THE love-in last week in Unity, New Hampshire, when Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton stood together, was a marker in Mr Obama’s campaign to be president. Mrs Clinton spoke of standing “shoulder to shoulder” with her Democratic former rival; he gushed about “how good she is, how tough she is, how passionate she is”. It was the first time since Mrs Clinton dropped out of the race that the two had appeared together in public. From now on Mr Obama will tap Mrs Clinton’s financial donors, enlist some of her staff and reach out to her supporters.

With the primary season forgotten, Mr Obama is now sauntering towards the centre, ready to spar with John McCain. In the process he may enrage left-wing activists who constitute his base (however Mr McCain faces the same, or even a harder, challenge with his supporters on the right).

Since wrapping up the nomination Mr Obama has taken a number of positions that have caused discomfort to some on the left. These have included: his solemn undertaking to protect Israel, in a speech to the leading pro-Israeli lobby; the reversal of his promise to accept public-funding limits for the election; and, last week, his waffled reaction to the Supreme Court’s ruling on gun rights. Individually, these topics are not of huge electoral importance. But Mr Obama is busy signalling that he belongs in the middle of the road.

More tests await. On Iraq Mr Obama has made an explicit promise to “remove one to two combat brigades each month, and have all of our combat brigades out of Iraq within 16 months”. Naturally a more peaceful Iraq would provide conditions in which a withdrawal is more likely, but as president he would have to weigh the risk that leaving quickly might jeopardise the relative improvement in security in the country. There have been nods and winks from Obamaite foreign-policy wonks that he would revisit the pledge when president, but Mr McCain will want to focus on the subject before then. The Republican has already chided his rival for not making a trip to Iraq for more than two years. Mr Obama recently said that he will go there soon.

Then there is the looming Senate vote on the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA), which contains a provision granting telecoms companies immunity from lawsuits for co-operating in a surveillance programme that conducted wiretaps without warrants. Mr Obama had said he was “proud” to stand with “a grassroot movement of Americans” in opposing the FISA legislation, but he has now watered down his opposition and supports the latest compromise, to the fury of liberal bloggers., the left’s noisiest pressure group, is running a campaign to persuade Mr Obama to vote against the bill. Senate leaders are desperately trying to engineer a separate vote on the immunity provision so that the senator from Illinois can register his objection.

Another issue rumbling away is free trade. During the primaries Mr Obama joined Mrs Clinton in turning up the rhetorical heat against NAFTA. Both floated the threat of an “opt out” from the agreement to force renegotiations with Canada and Mexico, which Mr Obama said could be used to gain “leverage” with their trading partners. This went down well among unions and displaced workers in the rustbelt states, but Mr Obama has since talked about the importance of trade and markets, in effort to sound a bit more sensible on economic policy.

This last transition is particularly delicate. In a recent interview for Fortune, Mr Obama admitted that “sometimes during campaigns the rhetoric gets overheated and amplified” and that he wanted to open a dialogue. “Obama goes soft on free trade”, thundered the Nation, a left-leaning magazine, pointing out that Mr Obama’s perceived hostility to free trade is the characteristic most likely to appeal to working-class voters in the mid-west in November’s general election.

He is not helped by a hostile takeover bid for Anheuser-Busch from a Belgian brewer. The maker of Budweiser is based in the swing-state of Missouri, where Democrats are calling opposition to a deal “patriotic”. One consolation is that Mr McCain will also be keen to avoid the subject, as his wife owns at least $1m-worth of Anheuser shares and stands to benefit financially from a deal.

George Carlin R.I.P. 2008

Hey George, do you remember those words that you told me about? Well I just wanted to let you know, they got me in lot of trouble when I was kid. But, now that I think about it those words have gotten out of some jams to as an adult. George was witty, crazy, intelligent and just told it the way it is. Rest in peace George, I'll look for you at the strip bar by the airport and buy you a beer. Thanks for all of the laughs and new perspective on life. You are still my favorite comedian here is my little tribute...

George Carlin on MAD TV - Touched by an Atheist

George Carlin Talks About "Stuff"

George Carlin, comic in search of meaning

By Globe Staff | June 23, 2008

George Carlin, a comedian famed equally for his bawdy routines about drugs and obscenities and for his ability to render absurd the most commonplace of items in modern life, died of heart failure at a Los Angeles-area hospital yesterday, a spokesman said. He was 71.

Mr. Carlin, who had a history of heart problems, died at St. John's Health Center in Santa Monica in the evening after being admitted in the afternoon for chest pains, spokesman Jeff Abraham told Reuters.

Known for his edgy, provocative material, Carlin achieved status as an anti-Establishment icon in the 1970s with stand-up bits full of drug references and a routine about seven dirty words you could not say on television. A regulatory battle over a broadcast of his "Filthy Words" routine reached the US Supreme Court.

In the 1978 case, Federal Communications Commission vs. Pacifica Foundation, the top US court ruled that the words cited in Mr. Carlin's routine were indecent and that the government's broadcast regulator could ban them from being aired at times when children might be listening.

He was irascible, profane, blasphemous, and determinedly astute. Whether deciphering the American political scene, or dissecting Americans' foibles, or disassembling the English language, he had the ability to re-create the perceptions of a listener, to hilarious effect.

A favorite on college campuses for the past 40 years, he maintained a busy touring schedule, last visiting Boston at the Wang Theatre in March. Before that concert, he told The Boston Globe he started his career with the desire to go beyond telling jokes, to becoming a part jester, part philosopher.

"If [a comedian] does both of those things with dazzling and marvelous language, then he . . . becomes a bit of a poet," he said. "So without trying to sound too grand about myself, I think there's a touch of those other two things going on in this common, ordinary stand-up comic, which is what I am really."

Last year, Mr. Carlin was voted the second-best comedian of all time behind Richard Pryor in a Comedy Central poll of network executive and industry veterans.

In all, he made 22 albums and wrote three books.

Mr. Carlin leaves his wife, Sally Wade, and daughter Kelly Carlin McCall.

Material from Reuters was used in this obituary.

Firefox community to set Guinness World Record

Firefox community to set Guinness World Record for most software downloads in 24 hours and that day is today, when I download my this morning the counter was well over 5 million. I have been using Firefox since the very first release, I just have never been a IE fan and never will be. This is said to be the fastest and most secure version on Firefox ever but I never had any issues with the other versions. So help the Firefox community to set Guinness World Record.

Clockwork bw

Clockwork bw, originally uploaded by rob02190.

Hey All, Just checking back in it's been a couple of days. I'm pretty much back to normal I just have had to watch what I'm doing especially at work. Which has been a pain in the ass because I hate asking people to do things for me, but I guess I have too, at least for another couple of weeks.

Today was my day off so I did few of the chores that I hate like shredding all of that damn junk mail we all get. I have to say the worst offender was 1. Capitol One 2. Discover 3. HRC 4. CItgo Oil 5. Sierra Club. The last one surprised me the most that they are so concerned about the environment but they was all that paper. But I am happy to tell let them know it is now rotting in the mulch pile in the back yard.

I did notice something earlier today while watching the BBC America World News, which actually has current events unlike CNN and FOX. King George is heading back to the US today after visiting with his European counterparts (whom I'm sure all glad that he is) all week. While he was off drinking with the dignitaries the Central US and the Mississippi River basin has been in the drink. Now I didn't expect much from this administration and still don't after what is still going on in New Orleans. Though I don't know if I would want to be there right now the since all the water from the North is head there way. We all know that King George is in his own perfect world and the clock stops for him.

One last thing, I think John McCain should invest in a Life Alert just in case the old bastard falls down and can't get up. Ok that's enough ranting for today and tomorrow is Hump Day, the week is almost over.

Back to work

I know I can not claim full responsibility for it but we had some thunderstorms go through Atlanta last night, so we got some rain. I guess all I needed to do was complain some, however we still need a lot more to alleviate the drought.

So I go back to work today and I don't know what that will bring. I can't wait to get back, I'm really tired of sitting around the house. I do have some medical restrictions that I can't lift anything over 10lbs, which is going to be hard. I know I can still help run the floor, work in the office and my paperwork. I guess I'll see how that goes and let you all know how I make out.

I do want to get caught up on some politics looking toward the upcoming Presidential race is now going through the gears and coming up to full speed. What the hell is up with Ron Paul?? I just saw that he's going to be having his own mini convention, hey all the more to him take those votes away from John McCain. I hope between him and Bob Barr can join up to be the GOP's Ralph Nader. Wouldn't that be a switch, now I know the Green party does have a candidate but I'm not worried about her. Cynthia McKinney was my district representative here in Atlanta and we voted that nut job out, now she's living in her magic kingdom.

Man meets Nature

WIre flower, originally uploaded by rob02190.

This weather is completely ridiculous flooding in the plains and continuing drought here the Southeast. I see all the rain falling and flooding in away I'm kind of envious, not with their flooding but of the rain. The flooding is terrible and having gone through that in 2004 I wouldn't wish that on anyone, my heart really goes out to them in that regard. But, I think the last time it rained here in Georgia was two maybe three weeks ago, and there is none forecast in the foreseeable future. To top all of that off when we did have some rain earlier in the the year our Dumbass of a Governor Sonny Perdue relaxed state watering restrictions, because Lake Lanier 's water level rose an inch.

But since then there have only been trace amounts at best and unless we have a tropical storm or a hurricane hit there probably won't be much to rely on. I'm just waiting to see if the fat dumbass pulls his head out of the hole before for the lake runs dry. We have been doing our part and haven't water much of anything except some vegetables, and have only used the ole watering can. No crazy sprinkler that waters everything but what you had intended. I just wish we could get some of that rain from Iowa to relieve us from the third day of our mini-heatwave, it 93 in the shade, there has been a little breeze.

Where the Hell Are we??

0027980-R4-033-15, originally uploaded by rob02190.

I actually do know where I am and really doesn't have anything to do with the photo. I saw the DR today and he cleared me to go back to work after Wednesday, but there are a few limitations. No lifting, pulling or pushing over 10lbs. for a month, which could be hard because I usually do a lot of that at work. The hardest part of it is just stopping myself from doing one of those, which I may do just subconsciously. So I still have a couple of days to let my body relax.

On the way to the DR this morning I noticed gas is hovering right around $4.05 a gallon and on top of the temperature was 95 degrees in the shade. This is in June, up and down the East Coast, this is unreal for the second week of month and the Summer hasn't even started yet. But don't worry the about these King George is off to the EU, I hope they scold the hell out of him.

The SPAMing father reverend

I'm feeling a lot better today still have some pain and discomfort buIt nothing like a week ago. I guess I'd have to say I'm at about 85-90% of my old self. Tomorrow is my follow up like I said yesterday so hopefully I'll get the okay to go back to work and what restrictions I would have.

Do you ever go through your email providers SPAM folder? Lately I had been just to make sure nothing important is being flagged incorrectly. I just have to say some these emails that are sent out are quit funny and I honest can't believe people fall for this bullshit.

In Conjunction with the International Monetary Fund
[First sign something is up the World Bank, IMF and the UN are individual organizations. I really doubt that they would have overlapping fact finding missions. Also any communications would more than likely come out of the UN in New York and World Bank in Washington D.C. ]
TEL : +229-xx-xx-xx-xx
Email: revbill_cleary@yahoo [Why doesn’t the good reverend use his official email, it is supposedly Official business regarding a very important matter]

Dear Beloved,
I am Rev Father Bill Cleary David [can you be Reverend and a Father], a senior staff with the World Bank [World Bank is not part of the UN] fact finding & special duties office. I am writing you this letter in respect of the recent discoveries that we have made in our office. It is better for one to live and die poor honest man than a rich dishonest one [I believe the good Reverend is the dishonest one].

I and the chief security officer (CSO) [why would the Chief Security Officer be a clergyman??] of this organization have arranged with an officer in computer section engineer Peter Cliff to bring outpart of your total pending payment sum amounting to US$1.5 million. Why we did this is because according to information gathered from the bank’s computer [which bank’s computer and why wouldn’t the bank contact me personally about this pending payment], you have been waiting for a long time to receive your money without success. As I found out that you have almost met all the statutory requirements in respect of your pending payment, your problem is that of interest groups.

A lot of people are interested in your payment and those people are merely doing paper works with you and that explains why you receive fax and phone messages from different people everyday [Actually it doesn’t because first off I don’t own a fax machine and second no strangers, UN officials, Bank Officials or no one from World Bank has called me].

Also we found out that some of the officials of the parastatals [n, a company or agency owned or controlled wholly or partly by the government. I had to look it up.]. have been extorting a lot of money from you with the pretext of helping you receive your money. [I would first have to have money before it could be extorted]I can assure you that this may last for years yet nothing happens if you do not do away with those officers that you call your partners [I don’t have any business partners, and if I do whom are they].

Due to the contents of the box [Who puts money in a box and where is this box now??] which must not be opened to anyone apart from those involved,we went to four courier companies to make arrangements on how to ship them by courier to you.Dhl, Ems, FedEx, Ups all said that they must open the boxes for inspection by the customs before shipment.

This is something we want to avoid because the box is padded with synthetic nylon and to open it, you have to cut the pad before you will meet the button that you will press to open the dial code-lock.There is no way you can open the box and be able to close it again becauseit was padded with machine. We told the courier services that the box contained film materials and when opened will spoil the materials. We did not declare money because couriers do not carry money. [Sound more like a bomb than a courier package. If this money is in a bank why don’t you just cut me a check than try to mail $1.5 Million dollars, that must be an awfully big package anyway]

A friend of mine who is a diplomat disclosed to me that there is a security courier service they use to send diplomatic materials and information from one country to another. It has diplomatic immunity and consignment cannot be checked by any customs anywhere in the world.

I have spoken to the officials of the security courier service and concluded shipping arrangement with them, which they will commence as soon as i have your go ahead order. The diplomat will help me so we do not have any problem. We have concluded that you must donate Five Hundred Thousand United States dollars (US$500,000.00) to any charity organisation I designate as soon as you receive your money. To this effect, you will send us a promissory note for Five Hundred Thousand United States dollars (US$500,000.00) along with your address for sending the box by courier [Doesn’t this send off warning flares to any normal person?? Who would take out a loan for $500K to send to someone they do not know, they haven’t done any business oversea, not to mention it nowhere does it say where this good reverend is currently residing.].

Please maintain topmost secrecy as it may cause a lot of problems if found out that we are using this means to help you,Do not ever tell anybody about this until you have your money.[ Whom would I mention this to? I don’t know maybe the US State Department, US or Georgia State Attorney General office, US Postmaster General, INTERPOL or maybe all of the above would be a good start.]

I want to help you because something in me tells me that you are an honest Person,When you conclude this and you send our promise, we will help to ship the final part of your money to you. [I think it’s more like once we have cashed your check into our overseas bank you will never hear from the Good Reverend ever again and you will be financially ruined for the rest of your life. ]

God be with us as we wait for your reply on email address: revbill_cleary@

Please do not fail to call.[Don’t worry I’ll give you a call as soon as recover from my stitches redone because I was laughing to hard and long]

Yours faithfully,
Rev Father Bill Cleary David.

First off this good reverend doesn’t know me very well; I don’t trust any religious leaders so why would I put any faith into him, to act with my best interest at heart. Second I have no business, business partners or accounts in a foreign country, so I doubt that is my money in the first place. Third If I was owed $1.5 million dollars by anyone I would have hired a lawyer to get my money back not a religious quack.

Why is it that in the United States more people are taken in by these scammers, than in any other country worldwide? We created the internet, we but are the most gullible. People wake the fuck up!!! These people are SCAMMING you, they are going to take your money and once they do, there is nothing that you can do about it. If you want to get involved in a get rich quick scheme just buy a damn Mega-Millions or Power-Ball ticket your odds are much better all considering.

Time to Unite as Hillary steps aside

The Democratic primary season ended on Tuesday and Barack Obama has a lock on the nomination, which has had me pretty excited. But I understand that many are not as joyful, since he was not everyone's candidate and many Hillary supporters are feeling snubbed right now. I congratulate her on a hard tough fight and she is a worthy opponent. It is to those supporters that I am reaching out to today, I have heard stories that many of Hillary's supporters are going to cross party lines and I find this very disturbing. How can a Democrat cross the party and ultimately their candidate? Hillary has given her all to the party, and to her campaign only to watch her supporters back John McCain. I do not think that is what she would want, I'm sure that is the last thing she would approve of. I know if the table had been turned and Hillary had won the nomination I would not support John McCain just to see Hillary loose. I would vote for the party, for I am a Democrat at heart and they hold my values.

John McCain will only extend the Bush presidency and policies. These are the things that Hillary has campaigned against and she like Obama wants to free the country from the likes of these two. They want to ensure that country is progressive and not stagnant. It's time to work together to remove the bad air that has been occupying 1600 Pennsylvania Ave for the last 8 years, this has gone on long enough.

It's just friday

Monday I have my follow up with the surgeon, I'll let you know what happens from there, hopefully I'll be able to go back to work by Wednesday.
