The Field for 2008 Widen's Quickly

The field for the 2008 Presidential race is widening quickly. Just after Hillary Clinton announced her intentions to run, Republican Sen. Sam Brownback announce that he's in also. Along with Hillary fellow Democrat, Governor Bill Richardson of New Mexico announced today also joined the growing pack of candidates. Governor Richardson has one of the more impressive Presidential resumes, he has just returned from Dafur where he helped broker a deal for a 60-day cease-fire between the rebel factions and Sudanese government. Gov. Richardson also has been a US Congressmen, UN Ambassador and Energy Department secretary, with credentials like these he knows how to work with people and governments to get things accomplished. Having been the Energy secretary maybe just what the United States needs to help ween us from our petroleum addiction.

I still wish Gore would run. I think he could win. Imagine a Gore-Obama ticket.
